2012: A Year in Review

For this year's review, I picked my top 12 moments or posts for the year!

This year I got serious about my Art Series.  I enjoy finding and featuring artists and am happy to be continuing this series in the next year!

Right before I had Collier we threw Rilo's Winter Waterland Party.  I learned that all a bunch of 2-4 years olds need is a room full of balloons!

I worked on a few Custom Address Stamp's for us.  Looks like I need to make a new one now that we've moved!

Before we left for the summer we shared our Bedroom Before/After.  In our new house, our bedroom is one of the only rooms that is remaining almost the same!

I shared a super yummy Coconut Cake recipe!

I finally got around to Painting the Front Door!  Now I can look at it across the street I guess!

I think this is one of my most underutilized posts.  My Image Map Tutorial is perfect for all you bloggers doing any kind of roundups!!

I had a lot of great design clients this year.  I loved so many projects I was able to work on.  I really loved Morgan & Jared's Wedding Invites.  You can check out the rest here.

I shared my views on park play in my post, Let Your Kids Play: Park Tips.

In February, we welcomed Collier Brooks into our family.  It's hard to imagine life before our Collier Bud!  Here are Collier's Birth Announcements.

This past summer I discovered Online Grocery Shopping and it changed my world!!

This year I started the 12 Days of Christmas Downloads.  I hope you loved them as much as I loved designing everything!

I am extremely excited for what's to come this year.  A new house, a new business, new posts and much more! Cheers to a happy and healthy 2013!

12 Days of Christmas Downloads: Gift Tag Sets

Well hi again! I dropped off the face of the world wide web because we FINALLY moved into our new house. We have been up until 3am each night since Thursday packing, moving and unpacking. We are so happy to be in our house though. It is actually coming together pretty quickly and I can't wait to show this gorgeous place!
To make up for the few days I missed, I have 3 sets of Christmas gift tags for you to download!

12 Days of Christmas Downloads: Giveaway on Little Yellow Barn

Awhile ago I helped Ashley and Jourdan with their site, Little Yellow Barn. Today I'm over there giving away a custom party kit (invitations, banner, cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, etc.). Basically every printable you need to have a great party! OR you can choose $50 towards my design services, for something like a logo or blog header! So I suppose today's download will really only be for ONE person, but maybe that will be you!?
Head over to Little Yellow Barn to enter! And check back the rest of the week for the last of my free Christmas printables! Some great downloads coming up!

12 Days of Christmas Downloads: Christmas Card Template

Two Christmases ago I sent out these Christmas cards out (look how little Rilo is). I still love them to this day. And now you can make them yours!

Download the Photoshop file, insert your photo instead of mine and change the names to yours. You'll need to download Bebas and Quicksand to match the fonts used on the card. Email if you have any questions or if you'd like to work on a custom card!

12 Days of Christmas Downloads: Cookie Exchange Party Kit

Whoops! Apparently this post didn't go up earlier. Here is the kit of all your cookie exchange party essentials: recipe cards, voting ballots, cookie labels and awards! See pictures and details from last year's party here.

And for your convenience, here is the entire kit, including the invitations!

I'm already excited for this party and it's still a few weeks away. I've been trying to decide which cookie to make and have narrowed it down to 3! If you throw a cookie exchange party I would love to see pictures. You can email them to!

12 Days of Christmas Downloads: Cookie Exchange Party Invitations

Last year I threw a Cookie Exchange Party with some of my friends. It was really fun (and delicious)! Here were last year's invitations and last years free invitation download.
This year's invitations are also up for grabs. I went with a little more non-traditional colors this year and I love it. You could host this type of party anytime. After Christmas, Valentine's Day or anytime you need an excuse to eat lots of yummy treats. Fill yours out by hand or on the computer, mail (or email) and then host your own cookie party! Tomorrow I'll have all the other party downloads available for you too (recipe cards, awards, etc.).

Here are the invites available for download:

Small Fry Christmas Cards

When my friends from Small Fry (the cutest children's lifestyle blog) asked if I would work with them on their Christmas cards this year, I was thrilled. Nicole, Emily and Jenna all have impeccable taste so I knew I would love whatever we came up with. Each of them had a different style and idea for their cards. Nicole likes to make hers more like an art print, Emily wanted a funny infographic and Jenna wanted something tactile showing all their travel this year. I love how they all turned out! Check out their post about the cards on Small Fry!

I'm taking on a VERY limited number of custom Christmas cards, so if you're interested in working together, please email me at! And be sure to check back this morning for Day 5 of my 12 Days of Christmas Downloads.
