Bernard Lorjou was a French Expressionist painter in the early 1900s. Love these bright beautiful florals of his!
Mhairi McGregor paints these gorgeous floral still life paintings. I especially love the texture, don't you? You can see more of her work here.
This week's featured artist is Christine Soccio. I read in her artist's statement that she went back to painting after abandoning her dream 16 years prior. I love that! Check out her beautiful paintings here.
I recently stumbled on these gorgeous paintings by Yolanda Sanchez. I really appreciate her use of white space and texture. I would love a huge painting hung over my couch. It would be a such a great statement piece. See her work here.
I love the texture of Cheryl Wasilow's paintings. Pair that with beautiful colors and I'm a huge fan. Check out her work here and buy it here.
I think Kim Parker may be living the dream. Her gorgeous paintings, both floral and abstract, have been turned into rugs, pillows and bedding. I bet it's pretty amazing to see your art on much more than the canvas. You can see her work and products here.
Well, we are all packed up! Last week was pretty crazy...it's no joke trying to pack up with a 6 month old and a 2.5 year old! Rilo loved unpacking everything I just packed. All the credit in the end goes to Adam, who finished up packing and then packed everything into the cars.
Polka dots, stripes, pretty colors and geometric shapes make Jaime Rovenstine's paintings perfection. Check out her work here or purchase paintings here.
I was first drawn to the vibrant colors in Emily Rickard's work. Her works seems so joyful to me. I think these would cheer up any corner in your home. You can see her work here and buy her work here.
Do you have an artist you love? I'm always looking for new artists to feature in this series!
Holy longest blog break ever!! I've been feeling so swamped and so behind on life, so it's been nice to finally feel somewhat caught up. I really can't believe it's been so long though. Let's not let that happen again, ok?!
Jun Tsunoda paints such serene, peaceful paintings. I didn't think I would be as drawn to the muted colors as I am. You can check out more from Jun here.
Any new artists you've been loving lately? I really like this series. I think for my birthday in September, I'd like to ask for a painting. It's going to be a tough choice though...so many good artists out there!
