It's that time of the year when dozens of beach vacation pictures start popping up everywhere. I can't help but feel a smidge jealous...I'd love a sunny beach day right now. We likely won't head to a beach until this fall because of Adam's work, so I've been browsing the beach paintings by Linda Donohue. It's amazing to me how art can draw feelings of a certain time or place. I look at these and feel as though I'm watching the waves crash in front of me. See more of her work here.
Jo Chambers, the artist behind Studio Legohead, has this set of beautiful floral doodles. It's no secret I love the bright and the floral. I think I need to find a spot in my house for the first one. But really, you must check out her Etsy shop because she has the most epic dog and cat drawings. No really. They are fantastic. See her Etsy shop here and her blog here.
Wow, I honestly wanted to post Zoe Pawlak's entire portfolio. Not only do I love her abstract art, but her portraits are also fantastic. Check out her gorgeous work here. It was so hard to narrow it down to just these six.
I'm sure you know Jen Ramos from her gorgeous blog, Made By Girl. She has also started selling her paintings in her shop Cocoa and Hearts. I love the hints of gold in her paintings! See her blog here and her shop here. Don't you love her styling too? So perfect!
I think I may deem Helen Dardik the queen of patterns. She has a very recognizable style and the prettiest color palettes. Her patterns are quirky and fun and I love them. See more of her work here and buy her prints here.
Here are two of her prints from her shop:
I love how on-trend these watercolor paintings from Ninola are. They make me want to get some watercolors and go to town! Check out more of Ninola here.
I'm drawn to the black used in this series by Justine Rubin. Justine seems to do it all...paintings, installations, web design and window displays. See this series here and more of her here.
Loving these huge paintings by Sally King Benedict. Her work has been featured in Elle Decor, House Beautiful and several other magazines. She has a great feature in the March issue of Matchbook magazine if you want to read a little more on her and her work! See her work here.
Switching it up a teeny bit today with this week's artist, Yellena. Yellena does pen, ink and marker drawings in pretty soft palettes. They remind me of the ocean. I read on her blog that Modern Family used her artwork in a recent episode all around the house. That must've been a pretty cool experience! Buy her lovely art here and read her blog here.
