February’s Free Download: Clothespin Valentine’s

Here's a quick and fun Valentine's Day craft + printable you can do this weekend. All you need are some clothespins and then whatever fun supplies you already have around your house. Rilo and I used some scrapbook paper, stickers, ribbons, foam and watercolors...all things we already had in our craft drawer!

First we decorated our clothespins.  You could also glue a magnet on the back of your clothespin, so it could be kept on the fridge after Valentine's Day. Here are the ones Rilo and I created:

Then, all we had to do was clip our pin onto the free printable Valentine and just like that, we were done!

I have a green and pink version and a red and blue version available for download.  To download, click on the links below:

Cookie Exchange Party + Free Download

I'm really excited to host a cookie exchange party this weekend!  My Mom has been going to this type of party for a few years and she usually calls me up asking for some recommendations for treats to bring.  I always thought it sounded like fun.  I mean, getting together to eat lots of treats!?  What's better than that?

I sent out these invites to the guests and am busy getting everything ready for Saturday!  Along with the invitations, I included a little note with RSVP info as well as some tips (like bake ahead of time!).  I'll be sure to share all the rest of the details sometime next week!  I saw this great idea to punch out a circle from the envelope and decided to make a little cookie.  Sadly, only a very small amount of invited guests got this extra touch...I couldn't seem to find my smaller circle punch.

It's not too late!  You can throw a cookie exchange party too!  This type of party is best if you keep the group small, so send out a few invites in enough time to let every bake several dozen and you're ready to go!  This would be fun after Christmas and just as perfect around Valentine's Day!  If you'd like to download the modified versions of the above invites, click on the links below!

December’s Free Download: Holiday iPhone Wallpaper

Happy December!  I happen to love this month and all it's happy festivities.  We will be heading to pick out a tree tonight and I'm excited to enlist Rilo's help this year.  For the monthly download this month, I thought a little reminder on your iPhone might be perfect!

Download the image above by right-clicking and and save it to your phone.  Then head to Settings>Wallpaper>Camera Roll and then select the image.  I set it as my Lock Screen and I love it every time I see it!  Hope it makes you happy too!

October’s Free Download: Birthday Card

Remember that time you were headed out the door for a birthday party, gift in hand and then you realize you forgot a card?!  This is specifically for those times.  Throw in a piece of cardstock in your printer, print, cut and go!  These fit perfectly into A2 envelopes.  I like to buy a pack of blank cards with envelopes, like these, from somewhere like Joann's or Michael's so I always have some on hand.  You could print these directly onto those cards, stuff them in the envelope and you're set!

May’s Free Download: Art Print

A day late and a dollar short!  Rilo and I are having trouble kicking these colds we've had for the last 2 weeks.  That, on top of Rilo's less than 1 hour naps these last two days, meant postponing the download until today!  I came across this quote from J.M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan and I really liked its sentiments:

[callout] "Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves." [/callout]

I needed something to cheer up this temporary apartment, so I thought I'd create a little print to display.

If you'd like to download this for yourself, please click the links below.

Simply print on 8.5" x 11" paper, preferably something heavy like cardstock, frame and display!  This can easily be trimmed to fit an 8" x 10" frame. Enjoy!

April’s Free Download: Gift Tags

I mentioned that I wanted to start doing a monthly free download and got some great suggestions from you guys on what to make. Several people asked for gift tags and with Easter coming this Sunday, I thought they would be perfect. Beyond your Easter baskets, these would be great for baby shower gifts or a birthday! I have a blue set as well as a pink set.

I need your input!

So I've been thinking lately that I'd like to start creating a monthly free download. I've done one before and it went over really well. I still get people coming to download it. (It was the birthday calendar below)

I rarely do design work for myself these days, but I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for Rilo's invites. It's fun to brainstorm and create something without any restrictions. I've been coming up with ideas for possible downloads, but I'd LOVE your input.
A few ideas I had:
Recipe Cards
Gift Tags
Desktop Calendar
Art Prints
Fill-in-the-blank Invites
I would really love to hear from you (even you, who never comments...and there are quite a few of you non-commenters). What things would you be interested in downloading? What would you find useful? Thanks everyone!
