When Brooke contacted me about birth announcements for her little guy Spence, I was excited. She wanted something modern and not too babyish. I presented her two options. The first being just a standard announcement and the second being what we came up with here. I love that the design itself is still clean and simple, yet all the little details make it something special. The navy envelopes and petal envelopes are from Paper Source. I think I want to use petal envelopes in everything I do from now on! They add the perfect touch of sweetness and whimsy.
This logo is for Melissa Reibe, from Arkansas. I actually did her logo a few years back. She was ready for an update and this is what we came up with! Something modern, bright and fun, just like Melissa!
I posted my best friend Mary's engagements a few months ago. Since then, we've been working together on her wedding invitations and I am so happy I can finally share them! Mary and Steve are getting married in a botanical garden so the incorporation of flowers made perfect sense. Since many of the guests will be out of towners, we created a guide full of their favorite spots in New Orleans. I can't wait to do some exploring in April and be a part of their big day!
I've had these Valentine's in mind for awhile now. Adam brought home a pair of these disguise glasses a few months ago and I thought they were so cute on Rilo. Plus she thought she was hilarious in them. I found these miniature ones in a party pack at Walmart.
I worked on some mermaid invitations for California photographer, Heather Avrech. I don't normally do illustrations like this little mermaid so it was a fun change of pace!
I know it's already February, but I couldn't go without sharing this cute Christmas card for my good friends, the Oldhams. Kayti wanted to use a deer bust. After I brainstormed a bit, I thought what could be cuter than a little family of deer!?
I'm still playing a mean game of catch up around here! I finally was able to grab a couple of quick photos of recent design projects. Here is a baby shower invitation for an old friend of mine. Her husband is from Hershey, PA so they had a chocolate theme for this surprise baby shower!
So I've been keeping this to myself for a little bit, but Adam and I (and our friend Kasey) recently purchased a local crepe shop! It's a cute little place in Provo under Alpine Village for those familiar with the area. ME Crepes has been open for a little over a year and has done great so far, with little to no marketing. We want to take it to a whole new level! We have renamed, rebranded and are currently finishing up an awesome remodel! I cannot wait to show you the before and afters!! For now I'll show you the old and new logo, with our new name, The Crepe Co.
And our new logo!
The great part is, we have a fantastic set of employees who love the place so much and have it running all by itself. So I'll get to stay on working on anything design related but I won't have to be there every day. I'll have much more to share next week!!
Well hi again! I dropped off the face of the world wide web because we FINALLY moved into our new house. We have been up until 3am each night since Thursday packing, moving and unpacking. We are so happy to be in our house though. It is actually coming together pretty quickly and I can't wait to show this gorgeous place!
To make up for the few days I missed, I have 3 sets of Christmas gift tags for you to download!
